ISBD (G): General International Standard Bibliographic Description

General International Standard Bibliographic Description [ISBD (G)] is a set of general standard adopted by the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), governing the bibliographic description in a standard, human-readable form, especially for use in a bibliography or a library catalogue, published in 1977. ISBD (NBM) for non-book materials and a revised ISBD (S) for serials were published in 1977 and ISBD (A) (antiquarian) for older monographic publications was published in 1980.
