op. cit.: Opere Citato

Opere Citato (op. cit.) is a Latin phrase, meaning "in the work previously cited" and used to indicate a source previously cited with full citation located somewhere else in the work and in between the two reference other references are there. It used in notes and bibliographic citations that allow a quotation or idea from the work previously cited to be referenced simply by giving the new page number(s). In simple, opere citato (Op. cit.) is used when the reference is made to a work previously cited, but to a different page within that work.
